We introduced Tatonka to Australia in 2010, and local hunters were quick to recognise the benefits of Tatonka packs compared with other options on the market.
Hunters in particular embraced their rugged construction, especially the flagship Bison pack. Featuring the X1 harness, originally developed for the German military, the Bison is designed to carry loads over 25 kg comfortably. This makes it ideal for extended hunts and carrying meat out over long distances and demanding terrain.
We have worked closely with Tatonka’s design team in Germany to continue expanding the range available in Australia. The Stealth soft-fabric collection was developed with hunters to create quiet daypacks suited to stalking through the Australian bush, without sacrificing practical features. The range has since expanded to include Prym1 Woodlands Camo® options, along with several larger pack styles made from the same quiet fabric.
Tatonka is not just about packs. The brand brings the same practical, no-nonsense approach to outdoor gear such as dry bags and gaiters, with every product backed by a two-year warranty.
